Bug #114557, was updated on 2000-Sep-15 18:59
Here is a current snapshot of the bug.
Project: Python
Category: Python Library
Status: Closed
Resolution: Fixed
Bug Group: Feature Request
Priority: 5
Submitted by: tim_one

Summary: Nuke hard tabs from the std library
Details: It was agreed for 2.0b1 that all std libraries modules would use
4-space indents and no hard tabs. This didn't happen, due to a
misunderstanding. Repair that after 2.0final is released (would be sooner,
except about 250 files are affected, and that much fiddling carries some
risk).
