Bug #122715, was updated on 2000-Nov-17 12:08
Here is a current snapshot of the bug.

Project: Python
Category: Documentation
Status: Closed
Resolution: Invalid
Bug Group: None
Priority: 5
Submitted by: fdrake
Assigned to : fdrake
Summary: __rcmp__() description

Details: The description of the __rcmp__() method in the Python Reference
Manual is clearly wrong; can you please correct it, including information
about when it is called? I've received another request for this, and don't
see it in the bug database.

[Assigned to Jeremy because Guido says he went through and figured it out
at one point.]

Comment:
Documentation updated to indicate that __rcmp__() is no longer supported as
of Python 2.1. We still need to maintain the entry since we want people
reading existing code to be able to find out that it is an unsupported
method.

Comment:
Reopened and given to Fred. Since __rcmp__ is now no longer supported at
all, it should be removed from ref3.tex.

the recent changes for coercion and comparison render this request obsolete
