Summary: findertools.reveal() broken

Initial Comment:
The findertools functions reveal(), select() and 
update()  seem to be broken. Perhaps the changes in the 
Finder appleevent modules broke it. I have alternative 
functions which construct the events directly -- seem to 
work properly. What now?
