Hi,

I'm running Linux Red-Hat 7.2 with gcc 3.1 but have
been unable to compile python 2.2.1.


[root@apletzer-pc Python-2.2.1]# uname -a

This is not a bug in Python. To use gcc 3.1, you must use a
corresponding binutils release. Please see gcc 3.1 build
instructions for details.
