Version: 1.5.2
OS: Linux

I'm using glibc 2.0.6 and kernel 2.2.12 and gcc-2.7.2.1 .  When I try to
 execute httplib.HTTP() or urllib.urlretrieve() I get a segmentation fault.
The functions work ok with kernel 1.2.13 .

Closed as 3rd-Party and Fixed: no info was added to this
bug in more than 2 years, the original report said it
depended on which kernel was in use, and AFAICT the problem
was never reported again.

outdated - references 1.5.2 and old versions of gcc
and glibc
