Summary: cursesmodule won't build on OS X 10.2

Initial Comment:

gcc -DNDEBUG -g -O3 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-long-
double -no-cpp-precomp -I. -I./Include -c ./Modules/
_cursesmodule.c -o Modules/_cursesmodule.o
In file included from Include/py_curses.h:6,
                 from Modules/_cursesmodule.c:113:
/usr/include/ncurses.h:282: conflicting types for `wchar_t'
/usr/include/stdlib.h:77: previous declaration of `wchar_t'
make: *** [Modules/_cursesmodule.o] Error 1

I tried building against ncurses5.2.7 (fink-stable) and the included
ncurses5.?.? shipped by apple. A 'curses' lib is not here :-(.
