Summary: IDLE fails to start on WindowsME
Initial Comment:
IDLE does not start on WindowsME. Bugs 780451 and
784183 have been consulted. Moving installation to
C:\Python\, or the newer, fixed (in relation to
previous bugs) C:\Python23\ fails to lauch IDLE.
Attempting default to C:\Program files\ fails, too.
Both HKLM and HKCu installations have been attempted.
This is unheard of, up to this version there weren't
any problems.
Pythonwin's IDLE runs but complains "an error with DDE
conversation with Pythonwin" ( I *know* this is
somewhat Off-topic, but maybe it helps_.
Bug 780451 should be reopened, IMHO.

See http://www.python.org/2.3/bugs.html; this has been fixed
in the CVS.
