Summary: Python Interpreter embedded in small memory system

Initial Comment:
I'm a newcomer in python.
I want to know how large is the size of python
interpreter .
If I only need some basic funcitons of python(module
import,string operation,math operation,etc), not
including such as 'tk' or 'multithreading'. How small could
the python interpreter's size to be?
Is it only a dream to embed such a small interpreter onto
a system which only has 128KB memory?
