Initial Comment:
Documentation for python 2.3 says:
"k" (integer) [unsigned long]
Convert a Python integer to a C unsigned long
without overflow checking. New in version 2.3.
However I was told -- and tested to be true -- that "k"
also accepts python long as argument. This should be
mentioned in the documentation, otherwise programmers
will assume "k" only accepts values in the range
0-2^31, thus not allowing the full 'unsigned long' range.
