That seems like a good idea for HTML docs but we should 
probably have a larger discussion on whether the docs
need to retain their usability in printed form.   The docs
probably need to be staticly usable and not just accessible
through a browser or PDF viewer.

I could see having links to a docs wiki.  That way, people
can load-up examples, comments, links to real-world
code and whatnot  while leading the main docs uncluttered.
