Using the term PyCon is somewhat confusing as the North American PyCon
keeps to the narrative that it is "the" PyCon:

"PyCon is the largest annual gathering for the community using and
developing the open-source Python programming language."  (quoting from the
website).

Unless this changes, I think relinquishing "PyCon" to the North American
organizers (PSF) and their annual confab, and going with other names for
PyEvents elsewhere, makes a lot of sense.

What do others think?
