Those who hate typing regard it as great injury that they have to 
define this. Of course, they'll gladly type huge long posts on the 

But, I agree. string.join(['a', 'b', 3]) currently barfs. 
L" ".join(seq) should complain if seq isn't all unicode, and same for 
good old strings.
