It's because the tests are actually broken for sre: it prints a bunch
of "=== Failed incorrectly ..." messages.  We added these as "expected
output" to the test/output/test_re file.  The framework just notices
there's a difference and blames pre.

Effbot has promised a new SRE "real soon now" ...
