  This #! isn't portable; the program is only guaranteed to get one
parameter from the #! line ("python" in this example).  Some platforms
are more forgiving and just use the rest of the command line (or a
maximum of 32 characters), but that means you lose the "-g" on too
many platforms.
  The other concerns that have been brought up are fairly important as
well.
