Sorry for not getting back to you sooner,  I just fwd'ed the fellow's
problem as an FYI for the Python-Dev'ers, not as something crucial for
2.0b1.  His symptom is a kernel panic in what looked like a pre-release OS,
and that's certainly not your fault!  Like he said:

Since nobody else spoke up, I'll fwd your msg to him eventually, but that
will take a little time to find his address via DejaNews, & it's not a
priority tonight.
