[Python-Dev] Python syntax checker ?

Is it really worth putting a lot of effort into this?
In my experience, the vast majority of errors I get from
Python are run-time errors, not parse errors.

(If you could find multiple run-time errors in one go,
*that* would be an impressive trick!)
