This was from ancient code. I think __import__ could be used.
I haven't modified this code for a long time (I don't even think
I wrote the original code). The code is used to load the modules
so they can be processed by pychecker.
When I change pychecker to not actually import the file,
using imp.load_module() or __import__ will be moot.
This was just something I noticed and seemed inconsistent to me.
Although it was easy enough to overcome with a file.seek(0).
