This test also fails on Tru64 Unix (V 4.0F), in the same manner - file
position is left at 0.
On the question as to whether a file can be grown using [f]truncate() on
this platform, the docs state:
"If the new length is greater than the previous length, new file data
between the previous end-of-file and the new end-of-file is added,
consisting of all zeros."
and claim
"Interfaces documented on this reference page conform to industry
standards as follows:
ftruncate(), truncate(): XPG4-UNIX"
