So yes, you cannot use addresses.

Because, in jvmpi.h, I find this:
struct _jobjectID;
typedef struct _jobjectID * jobjectID; /* type of object ids */
typedef struct {
...
jobjectID (*jobject2jobjectID)(jobject jobj);
...
} JVMPI_Interface;
