Please don't use python-dev for help in developing a Python
application; use python-list if you need help, use
sf.net/projects/python if you want to report a bug.

On python-dev, it would be appropriate to post a complete analysis of
the problem, suggest a change, and ask whether anybody could see
problems with such a change.
