I'm hoping that constraint will go away soon.  Zope 2.7
requires Python 2.2 and Zope 2.6 appears to run fine on
Python 2.2.  I don't know when Zope's official position
will change, but I hope it will be soon.

On the other hand, at least two of the 2.1.x releases were
driven in large part by the need to fix critical-to-Zope
bugs.
