Hello Lars,

If you are new to Python, python-dev is not the list you should use;
it is meant for the development *of* Python, not for the development
*with* Python. You can use the python-tutor list if you want to
actively learn Python, or python-list (aka news:comp.lang.python) for
general discussions and questions.
