I do for some definition of "regularly".  It would be better to setup
a cron job to truly run it regularly, perhaps once a month.  It should
run on both HEAD and supported release(s) (ie, 2.4 currently).

I've heard of others using valgrind, I have no idea how many people
and how often though.
