Correct.

People familiar with that documentation fragment had no problem making
it work. The problem has rather been that people didn't expect that
to be supported, and didn't try to determine whether it was supported.
If you search for "SDK" in the online documentation, this will
be the only piece that comes up.

Not sure when Mike Fletcher wrote his code - if it is recent, he
surely must have run into the feature while reading the existing
code base.
