Ah, I somehow misread that you were talking about documentation changes
(where Barry didn't volunteer to produce the documentation set for an
upcoming 2.5 release - but for the change at hand, it wouldn't be
necessary, either).
Wrt. the build changes, I think they can actually break stuff, and
therefore shouldn't be applied - see my other message.
