This seems promising. What OS are you using? On an older Linux server
with old-style HD's, the difference between 2.7 and 3.2 is much larger
for me:

Avg: 0.0312 -> 0.1422: 4.56x slower

(In this case, I think it might be more useful to report as 0.11s
faster, though.)
