Prueba pasando una tupla real, o si no elimina los paréntesis, es decir:

LblQNMA = wx.StaticText(panelMA, -1, "Nombre: %s" % (q[0],), (50, 80))

ó

LblQNMA = wx.StaticText(panelMA, -1, "Nombre: %s" % q[0], (50, 80))
