We are pleased to inform you of the PSF's decision to support your event. Here is the resolution that was approved on October 5, 2018:
RESOLVED, that the Python Software Foundation Grants Work Group grant $1200 USD to the Python workshop at the Data Challenge Industrial 3.0 happening in Xalapa,Veracruz, México October 27-28, 2018
Reporting:
After the event, the board & grants workgroup require a follow-up report by completing the grant accountability form here: http://bit.ly/2kgf4up. If there will be pictures, please share them and we can possibly discuss doing a blog post after the event. By providing pictures of the event, you are giving the PSF permission to use them in PSF marketing and reporting. If you have any further questions on this, please do not hesitate to ask.

Grant Type: Workshop without equipment
Grant Title: Python workshop at the Data Challenge Industrial 3.0
Objective:
Present the basics of tools for data analysis available in the Python
ecosystems via an introduction to the programming language applied to use
cases from industry.
Give participants an additional programming experience that can be directly
applied to problems they will likely encounter in their academic and
professional life.
Grant Amount: The amount of $1,120 USD to support the organization of the
workshop, mainly A/V equipments and traveling and boarding expenses for 6
instructors.
Beneficiaries: Students from different education levels ranging from college
to graduate degrees, with a main focus on the latter, that are participating
on the event whose goal is to propose solutions based on data analytics to an
industrial problem.
Follow-up activities: A general report is generated with an overview of the
activities; workshop participants are invited to future courses and other
activities organized by the hosting institution. The workshop will also serve
to detonate future workshops on the participants home schools and other local
universities.
