[Python-ideas] What factors led Guido to quit?

I want y’all to think about this very carefully. What factors led Guido to quit? And I don’t want you to just reply with the first thing that comes off your head. The purpose of this question/discussion is to identify problems with the Python community so we can fix them.

That is the only real chance of having a successful Python language that doesn’t get left behind by other languages, or of getting Guido to come back.
