Problems importing _ldap module

this is a new patching scheme provided to me. It allows for builds 
against python1.5, 2.0, and 2.1. As for the patches, have only taken the 
posted patches to date and have not yet used CVS since it was in flux. 
What would be the current ideal flags to CVS to pull out an OpenLDAP 2.0 
version. Is it HEAD?
