Sorry, I ran into a hen-and-egg problem: I wanted to avoid having to
set the version number in two soures (setup.py and
Lib/ldap/__init__.py). But one cannot import module ldap without
installed _ldap before. :-(

Please, check out new Python-LDAP 2.0.0pre03 which does not have
this problem. Might take a while before it shows up. Grr, SF's file
release system really sucks.
