compile python-ldap on macosx

Is it possible to build python-ldap against this LDAP release? Any 
information about whether that's OpenLDAP 2 or not?

I have to admit that I do not have any clue about the buzz-word 
'OpenDirectory' and all the Mac OSX stuff.
