[python-ldap] Macintosh Installation

Any advice appreciated.

I have an Intel MacBook Core2Duo running Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard.

Other relevant installs:
   cyrus-sasl2 @2.1.23_3+kerberos
   openldap @2.4.21_4
   openssl @1.0.0e_1
   python27 @2.7.2_1


I want to install python-ldap-2.4.4
I do not see the relevant info to modify setup.cfg in the expanded  
tarball.
I have looked at the samples in the Build folder, but am not satisfied  
that
I know enough to proceed with:

python setup.py build
python setup.py install

I can see that I need to make the following changes:

library_dirs = /opt/local/lib/sasl2
include_dirs = /opt/local/include/sasl

to link to the cyrus-sasl2 libraries, but I don't know what other steps
are needed/advised.
