Not true.

Successfully tested this modification with OpenLDAP 2.4.44:

dn: olcDatabase={1}mdb,cn=config
changetype: modify
delete: olcDbDirectory
add: olcDbDirectory
olcDbDirectory: /home/openldap/accesslog

---------------- snip ----------------

'olcDbDirectory' is MUST in this 'olcMdbConfig' entry.
