Q: How to use sio-151.zip

Folks,

I'm a Perl programmer, just starting Python. I need a Python serial port
lib, so I downloaded sio-151.zip.

I'll be working under bash under WinNT.

The question is, what to do next?

I've been reading http://www.python.org/doc/FAQ.html, but it's not clear
what needs to be done to install a Python lib (if indeed sio needs to have
anything done to it to install it), or if I just point PYTHONPATH at the dir
containing serial.pyc.
