gifgraph or gd in python?

Dear readers--

Is there support in Python for GD and Gifgraph modules?  These are
described in _Programming Web Graphics with Perl and GNU software_,
by Wallace.  GD and Gifgraph are kewl, but I don't want to le at rn
$perl to use them.
