Another newbie problem

Hello everyone,

I can't get following working:

print 'Filename, you bastard!'
filename=raw_input('> ')
print '***'

When executed in script, interpreter does not get past raw_input. It
does not accept the line. Enter, Ctrl-D, even Ctrl-C does not finish
it.

Using Python shell, filename=raw_input('> ') works OK! Weird.
