Python and generating images for web

I don't know about others, but I use 
    1. Python script to generate data plot in PiCTeX format
    2. TeX and 'dvips -E' to produce EPS file
    3. ImageMagick 'convert' to convert to GIF file
All the steps can be called from Python script, although I usually do
them manually.
