Automating MS Exchange Server with Python?

I have to develop a few automation procedures (AKA "Agents") for our MS
Exchange Server and I wonder if I can use Python for this task. 
Does anybody knows if there is a CDO (Collaborative Data Objects) or a MAPI
(Messaging API) interface/module/anything-else for Python?
