python1.5.2 under linux

Hello,
i have install the 1.5.2 version under Suse linux 6.1
But now, i get the following message:

bash-2.02# python
python: error in loading shared libraries
: undefined symbol: __rawmemchr



This are my first steps under linux. 
The old version 1.5.1 works !
