Automating Web updates ?

Hi, I'm looking for a python script that will update a remote Web server 
(through ftp) from a local source tree (like siteupdate.pl).

Total file size is modest so the script need not be overly 'intelligent', 
but the catch is that it must also work under Windows on the client side. 
All the ones I've found rely on Unix for both sides.

Anyone know of such a beast ? I'm tired of (badly) rewriting things that 
already exist, but well hidden :-)
