No perl, but my posts' line counts are high enough as is, without
starting to quote poems as 8 lines when they'll fit into two (besides,
I'd have broken _this_ particular gem into just *four* verses, had
I perchance been the author thereof, rather than a Jacobin sympathizer
of an impecunious engraver, so...).
