You are using the stock c-compiler. Try installing the
	HP C/ANSI C Developer's Bundle for HP-UX 10.20 (S800) 
or the latest gcc version. (http://hpux.connect.org.uk/)

Also deactivate thread-support with
	./configure --without-threads

if python crashes.
