he didn't say it was.  what he said was, lots of code has been
written, and empirical evidence suggests that your fears are
unfounded.

you can't draw too much conclusion from this thread.  most python
users have long since given up arguing this point with people
who don't use the language.  people who dislike the indentation
scheme tend to be vocal about it.

the bottom line is:
this is not a problem.  indeed, many people (myself included) consider
it a great advantage.  it is one of the things i like most about python.
if you don't like it, don't use it.
