Problems with menuitems

Hi,

Can you tell me how to do some configuration things on menuentries
without them being done right away.

I am DISABLING for instance the Save entry.

I an ENABLING the Save entry in the SaveAs option. But when my program
starts it somehow start the saveas function so it enables the save
option at startup which should be impossible.

If you can tell me how to do this please do.
