Configure EMACS for Python

I have recently begun to use Linux (moving fromm OS/2) and want to continue to use

Python as a scripting language. Can anyone give me advice on how I can configure EMACS

to format Pyhton code? I reasonably sure that someone has figured this out and I do

not want to reinvent the wheel.
