Yes, sort of. I'm just starting to learn Python, but it's not my first
language.

It is a good language to start with--probably easier than C, C++,
Java, and even Perl--for most people.

Recently, I've been doing almost all of my programming in Perl, and
Python is like a breath of fresh air in comparison. I'm looking
forward to being able to read my Python programs 6 months after I
write them--something I find difficult to do with Perl code.
