Dunno - I hope so.  There will definately be some "detection" - ie,
infering so dumb that it shouldn't be called inference!  It is safe to say
that Python .NET could benefit greatly from decent type inference.  I'm
hoping the types-sig discussion on optional type declarations, and related
inference work will revive itself - I'm reluctant to start this sort of
work when it appears the wider Python community is just around the corner
from a concerted effort.
