Yes.  I should have stated that I do get the NameError.  Thanks.  I think
the problem probably is that sys.stdout is still referencing the file.  It's
the first time I've tried to write anything to a file and I'm a bit
confused.  I didn't post the whole script because it's about 50K and my code
probably isn't particularly well written.  But I do have a second problem if
anyone fancies wading through 50K of code?  Thanks again.
