Script for checking FTP + HTTP links?

Hi There...

I'm looking for a script that can check through several HTML files and
check the links to other HTML files, and also any files linked via FTP
and HTTP. I've found a Perl script that does this, and there MUST be a
Python script out there that does it.

Any ideas where I can find such a script?  I'd try writing one myself,
but the idea just gives me a headache!
